Mary Kay, Customer Service Manager at Wilson Air Center – Houston, loves greeting customers in the beautiful lobby, known as the “Corral,” and making them feel like family from the moment they walk through the door.

After more than a decade of interacting with Wilson Air Center customers, Mary knows exactly what it means to provide exceptional service—and she has the awards to prove it. Mary was recently recognized by Aviation International News in the Above & Beyond category of the 2026 FBO Survey, marking her second time receiving this service-based award.

Mary’s knowledge and years of experience extend beyond her own customer interactions. She makes sure those same values are ingrained throughout her team of Customer Service Representatives and Concierges, ensuring that every customer receives the same level of warmth and hospitality, no matter who greets them. Following the example set by owner Bob Wilson, keeping customer service at the heart of everything they do comes naturally. As Mary explains, “Mr. Wilson leads by example, so if there is ever a question about how to treat a customer, we do what Mr. Wilson would do and know that it was the right decision.”

Years of masterfully handling situations, from ordinary to unusual, has prepared Mary to embrace every new customer request. Whether she is providing water for customers’ dogs on a hot summer day or personally coordinating the shipment of a left-behind item, Mary is always willing to go the extra mile: “I’ve spent 14 years at WAC – Houston, and it’s been an experience I’ll never forget—from my very first day to now.”
